Then their "lesson" is essentially a monotone voice reading through a slideshow that is a condensed version of what the book just told you. Here is what the class was like (I did the self-paced course, around 2k): they tell you to read the associated chapter in the Princeton book first. Regardless of the price of the class, should I sign up for a course, or just have more discipline in the self studying? And this time around I’ll be studying while in school taking classes. If I self studied again I think I will try to do those same things again but on a stricter schedule to actually finish in time. I probably spent 4-5 hours a day studying, and probably not very efficiently. My goal for the summer had been to review all of the Kaplan books, do all the AAMC content, and finish all of uearth. (I didn’t even get around to finishing or reviewing all of the section bank material). I read through around 40% of the Kaplan review books, did all the AAMC practice tests, maybe 100 uearth problems, and maybe 300 of the AAMC practice problems /section bank questions combined. I self studied for 3 months over the summer but if I’m being honest I don’t think I studied as hard as I could have the first time around. I took it at the end of September and got a 509 so I signed up to take it again mid April. This will be my second time studying/taking the MCAT.
